Rye Rangers Wins Gold in Lake Placid

Congratulations to all Rye Rangers Gold Medal Winners in Lake Placid!! Pictured above is our Bantam AA team winning a Gold Medal by capturing a 4-3 OT thriller in the Tournament Final!! Congratulations to all players and coaches and we are looking forward to winning more gold next season!

Rye Rangers Mites take MSG

On January 4th, our Mite A and A1 teams took the big stage playing between the 1st and 2nd periods at Madison Square Garden where the New York Rangers took on the Chicago Blackhawks!! The mites had the time of their lives, and will definitely remember this forever! The New York Rangers won 4-1 to cap off a fantastic night for all parents, players, and families that joined!!

Rye Rangers Gives Back

On March 5th, Rye Rangers players and families helped stock the shelves from our Annual Hockey Fights Hunger Food Drive at the Carver Center in Port Chester! We collected foods such as pastas, soups, cereals, beans, corn, and much more over the course of 2 weeks with a huge success from all Rye Rangers' families and players. We also had a little help from another Ranger, New York Ranger All-Star Vincent Trocheck! Thanks for all the help Vinny and hope to have even more success next season!

Congratulations to our Bantam AA team for a resounding 8-1 win over the LI Arrows to win our first LIAHL Tier II Championship!!

Rye Rangers Past, Present & Future on Display

The renewal of the Rye High School-Rye Country Day School varsity hockey rivalry on Jan. 5 was also a significant one for the Rye Rangers Hockey Club.

The game featured 28 former Rye Rangers players (18 on the Rye roster, and 10 on Rye Country Day School). It began with a pre-game ceremony in which Rye Rangers Good Skate Chairman Rocky Shepard awarded the Rye Rangers Scholarship Award to Rye Garnets co-captain Seth Dorfman and RCDS co-captain Ewan Ward.

It included a first-ever in-between periods mini-game featuring our Mite B players.

And it ended in dramatic fashion, with Rye scoring with one second remaining in overtime to win 6-5.  Thanks to Maureen Tsuchida (myryephotos.com) for these incredible pictures.

2023 Good Skate Award Winner

Congratulations to longtime Rye Rangers coach, parent, player, and board member Jeremy Lynch for winning the 2023 Rye Rangers Good Skate Award.

The Good Skate Award was created in 2001 to honor the memory of three Rye Rangers men’s hockey players, Tommy Palazzo, Teddy Maloney, and Ward Haynes, who were lost on 9/11.

The inscription on the Good Skate Award states that it is to be: “Presented annually to the member of the Rye Rangers Hockey Club voted by his/her peers as best epitomizing the human goodness of these special individuals. It shall be forever known as the “Good Skate Award.” Its enduring legacy is to serve as a reminder that we are all better human beings for having shared our lives, both on and off the ice, with these guys.”

Knock Off The Rust Champions

Congrats to our Squirt A team for winning the Knock Off The Rust Tournament in Newburgh! A great start to the season.

Kicking off our 2023-24 season

Our Bantam AA and Pee Wee AA teams are kicking off the new season for the whole program by playing in Atlantic Hockey Federation Showcase this weekend.

Each team will play two games Saturday and two games Sunday.
